The Greedy Dog | Greed leads to loss. Be happy with what you have, or you may lose everything | moral story for kids

One day, a hungry dog was wandering around the village in search of food. After a while, he found a juicy bone near a butcher’s shop. Excited, he grabbed it in his mouth and decided to find a quiet place to enjoy his meal. On his way, he had to cross a narrow bridge over a river. As he walked, he looked down and saw his own reflection in the water. Thinking it was another dog with a bigger bone, he growled, wanting that bone too. In his greed, he barked loudly, "That dog has a bigger bone! I must take it!" But as soon as he opened his mouth to snatch the other bone, his own bone fell into the river and was swept away by the current. The dog was left with nothing. He realized his mistake too late—his greed had cost him his meal. Moral of the story:  Greed leads to loss. Be happy with what you have, or you may lose everything.

🐢 The Tortoise and the Hare 🐇 | Keep going and never give up | short moral story for kids

Once upon a time, a speedy hare was very proud of how fast he could run. He would tease the slow tortoise all the time. One day, the tortoise got tired of being mocked and said, “Let’s have a race.” The hare laughed, “You? A race with me? That’s funny! But sure, let’s do it.” So they set up a race path. The race began, and the hare quickly raced far ahead. Seeing the tortoise far behind, the hare thought, “He’ll take forever to catch up. I’ll just nap under this tree.” While the hare was sleeping, the tortoise kept moving slowly and steadily. Eventually, he passed the sleeping hare and crossed the finish line. When the hare woke up, he ran as fast as he could—but it was too late. The tortoise had already won the race! Moral of the Story: Slow and steady wins the race. Don’t be overconfident. Keep going and never give up.

I can’t work without it.” The fairy dived into the water and brought up a golden axe . “Is this your axe?” she asked. “No,” said the woodcutter. “That’s not mine.” She went back into the water and brought up a silver axe . “Is this yours?” “No,” replied the woodcutter again. Finally, she brought up his old iron axe . “Is this your axe?” The woodcutter smiled and said, “Yes! That one is mine!” The fairy was so pleased with his honesty that she gave him all three axes — the gold,...
